Who We Are
St John’s Preschool is a not-for-profit community-based Christian preschool and provides an Education and Care program for children aged 3 to 5 years old.
We are funded and licensed by the Department of Education and Community Services. St John’s Preschool was established in 1970 by the Parish Council of St John’s Anglican Church, North Ryde.
The philosophy of the preschool is founded on and shaped by Christian beliefs and as a result we love and serve God in all that we do. Children participate in Bible stories and daily prayer and this is embedded in our daily routine. In addition to this each class group attends a ‘mini’ church service run by ministry staff from the church. Our experienced and dedicated team are all active Christians in their local church community.
Positive and Nurturing Environment
We provide a positive and nurturing environment at St John’s Preschool that supports children in their educational journey. We follow the Early Years Learning Framework and we strive to provide environments both indoors and out that allow children to be individual learners; to experience joy, wonder and fun in all they do; to be immersed with new ideas and discovery; to follow their interests; to be the very best they can be; and to learn more about who they are as created by a loving God.
Our Quality
Our centre has recently been independently assessed by the NSW Department of Education under the National Quality Standards and we are proud to be rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard.
