“An active learning environment is one in which children are encouraged to explore and interact with the environment to make meaning and knowledge through their experiences, social interactions and negotiations with others.”
( EYLF 2009, p. 45)

We aim to ensure that our learning environments are welcoming and inviting so that your child feels comfortable, safe and secure to explore, discover and make choices and decisions.

Our two classrooms

Our two classrooms rooms are designed to inspire curiousity, problem solving, the exchange of ideas and to support the development of relationships that are important to children’s lives. Our learning environments are responsive to children’s differing abilities, interests, and developmental levels. Both classrooms have open shelving that encourage children to have choice and independence, to access and take responsibility for the resources in the environment and enable them to return and build upon previous learning.

Our outdoor spaces

Our outdoor spaces are an extension of our indoor learning environments. They are designed to promote independent exploration, competence and allow children to practice and reinforce their gross motor skills as well as create opportunities for social interactions and imaginative play. We love connecting with nature and include trees for climbing, a digging patch, native bee hive, worm farms and a kitchen garden where the children can experience growing, caring for and eating the produce from our garden.
